Fantastic Jamaican Food
Went there for the first time today, and I’ll definitely be going back. The place is super clean and brand new. I had trouble choosing between the chicken curry and jerk chicken so I ordered a combo which included both.I received a large plate of food within 5-10 minutes and it was absolutely delicious. The jerk chicken is the best I ever had and the curry was fantastic as well. It’s obvious they use high quality ingredients and take pride in their establishment. The food is also quite healthy here as well which definitely makes it easy to keep going back. The combo plate came with: rice & beans, jerk chicken, curry chicken and a green salad. The staff is also courteous and friendly. Definitely a gem and I will definitely be going back with friends.
Best jerk in town
This place opened up in early July, we went a few days after and were blown away by the food and super friendly service. The cook came out to say hello, a huge guy with a huge smile to match. I had the curry goat while my girlfriend had the jerk chicken. Both came with sides of salad, fried plantain and rice and peas, the curried goat was not spicy heat wise but perfectly flavoured but the true star was the jerk! Perfectly spiced with a georgeous building heat on the palate, so good we went again a few days later and have been back a few times since!
You’ve not had Jamaican til you’ve had Kingston 11
I went to Kingston 11 today for lunch. Having been to places such as Jerk Pizza and Riddim & Spice on Commercial and Reef on Main, I was yet to be convinced that I could get ‘great’ authentic Jamaican food here on the West coast. Apparently, the best places are East of here – but no more!!!Kingston 11 blew my mind. I’m from Manchester in England, I’m not Jamaican but I grew up with soul food and know when something is good.
I had Jerk Chicken which fell off the bone, had an awesome crispy skin served on rice with a side salad. It consisted of two legs and a breast with wing, a mountain of rice and a great dressed salad. Heaven!
Low key, unpretentious surroundings, awesome food, great service, great host,; if I lived in North Van, I’d be there everyday!
